Manifestation de soutien à l'Ukraine.
Paris - Place de la république - 26 février 2022.
Je me souviens de cette manifestation comme si c'était hier. Plus de deux années pourtant nous séparent du début de la guerre en Ukraine lancée illégalement par Poutine au nom de la Russie. Cette guerre persiste, malgré la mobilisation de la communauté internationale.
Cette manifestation comme tant d'autres rassemblent une foule transgénérationnelle de femmes et d'hommes qui veulent la paix et sauver des vies d'innocents.
A l'heure de la globalisation, un conflit aux portes de l'Europe qui pouvaient paraître lointain à certains, émeut, inquiète tant d'autres et repose la question de l'aveuglement si ce n'est du cynisme de nos sociétés qui peinent à résoudre les conflits de manière diplomatique et pacifique sur fond de "Grand échiquier".
C'est le paradoxe auquel chacun fait face quand il en a conscience, pour gagner il faut perdre.
Parfois, la prise de conscience se fait dans la rue en lisant la pancarte d'un manifestant, en regardant la foule et sa profonde humanité.
J'ai rassemblé ici quelques uns des portraits qui m'évoquent cela.
I remember that demonstration like it was yesterday. Yet more than two years separate us from the start of the war in Ukraine illegally launched by Putin in the name of Russia. This war persists, despite the mobilisation of the international community.
This demonstration, like so many others, brings together a cross-generational crowd of women and men who want peace and to save innocent lives.
In this age of globalisation, a conflict on Europe's doorstep that might seem remote to some moves and worries so many others, and raises the question of the blindness if not the cynicism of our societies, which struggle to resolve conflicts diplomatically and peacefully against the backdrop of the ‘Grand Chessboard’.
This is the paradox that everyone faces when they realise that to win you have to lose.
Sometimes the realisation comes in the street when you read a demonstrator's placard or look at the crowd and its profound humanity.
